Meeting in Macon

On Saturday, May 19, 2007 all students from the state of Georgia going on the London Summer Study-Abroad program went to Macon, GA for our orientation. We spent about two-and-a-half hours in an auditorium learning about what to do, what not to do, what to bring, what not to bring, etc. on our trip to London. We also got our schedules, flight information, and other things of that nature. Everything went pretty well.

If I'm not mistaken, there are about 90 or so people going on this trip. We've got three different planes booked to fly over to London on June 21 (we'll actually arrive there on June 22). I'll post more information on my exact travel plans when they get available. I accidently left all of my important information in regards to this trip in one of my dad's friend's truck. I didn't realize it until we were 30 minutes outside of Macon. Now I've just got to wait to have it all mailed back to me. I should hopefully be receiving that by the end of the week.

I had planned on using this first post as an opportunity to explain what the whole point behind this blog is, as well as use it to provide any contact information for people to get a hold of me while I'm abroad. But, since I left everything in Macon, I'll just end this post quickly and let you know that once my information does come in, I'll put it on here.

We are still five weeks away from departure, so there will be a big lapse in time. Nonetheless, I'll do my best to keep this up-to-date.
